Who we are
Adult Home Finder (“Adult Home Finder,” “we,” “us”) operates adulthomefinder.com, an independent directory of licensed small residential care homes. We are not a healthcare provider, placement agency, or source of medical advice, and we do not recommend a particular home for any person.
What we collect
What we collect depends on how you use the service and your choices:
Account and listing information. If you create an owner account or manage a listing, we collect account contact details, authentication identifiers, and the listing information, photos, and documents you choose to provide. Firebase Authentication manages passwords; Adult Home Finder cannot view your password.
Essential communications. If you send an inquiry, general contact request, callback request, or chat message, we collect the contact details and content you submit, the listing or page involved, and delivery and moderation status. These records are needed to provide the communication you requested. They remain available even when you decline optional analytics or personalized support.
Essential security and operations. We process request time, route, basic device or browser signals, authentication data, and network information as needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. A network address may be processed transiently to create a rotating abuse-prevention key or obtain a coarse region. It is not included in optional visit events, visit summaries, or notification emails. We do not collect precise GPS location for this service.
Aggregate analytics (optional). If you allow aggregate analytics, first-party analytics and Google Analytics 4 may measure page views, general engagement, broad device details, and referring campaign information. We use this category to understand overall site use and improve the directory. Choosing it does not by itself permit a connected internal visit profile or personalized visit emails.
Personalized support insights (separate opt-in). If this feature is available and you turn it on, we create a random visit identifier and connect meaningful activity during that visit: pages and listings viewed, structured search filters, saves and comparisons, contact or availability actions, visible active time, general source and device information, and coarse region. We may create a deterministic summary of observed activity and possible interests, with evidence, for Adult Home Finder support. Some pages or filters can reveal or suggest care or health interests. The visit may generate an internal live alert and an end-of-visit recap. This category is off by default and is not enabled by accepting aggregate analytics.
We do not use session replay, collect typed-but-unsent form fields, record key values or pointer coordinates, fingerprint your device, or build a long-lived behavioral profile across visits for personalized support.
Your privacy choices
The service separates three purposes. Essential communications and security are always available. Aggregate analytics are optional. Personalized support insights require a separate opt-in and are off by default. You can allow or decline either optional purpose without losing access to the directory, contact forms, callback, or chat.
Use Privacy choices in the footer at any time to review or change these settings. Withdrawing personalized-support consent stops new optional visit tracking immediately, clears optional identifiers in the browser, suppresses an active visit's end email, and starts deletion of that visit's optional events and summary. Withdrawal does not delete an inquiry, contact request, callback, or chat message you deliberately submitted; you may request deletion of those records separately.
How we use information
- Operate search, saved-home, comparison, account, and listing tools
- Save, review, deliver, and respond to requested inquiries and messages
- Send service, moderation, and listing-status communications
- Protect the service, enforce limits, and investigate failures
- Measure and improve aggregate site performance when permitted
- Provide visit-level support context and internal alerts only after the separate personalized-support opt-in
- Comply with applicable law and valid legal process
We do not sell personal information or consumer health data, and we do not use family inquiry content for targeted advertising.
Care and health-related information
Adult Home Finder is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate. That does not make care-related information non-sensitive or place it outside other privacy laws. Searches, filters, listing views, and the information a person submits may concern or suggest a need for health or care services. We treat that possibility explicitly in our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Please do not send medical records, medication lists, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or other high-risk documents through our forms or chat. If a care home needs clinical records, arrange a secure method directly with that home.
How long we keep it
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, subject to deletion requests and legal obligations. Current targets for personalized-support data are about 30 days for raw visit events, about 90 days for visit summaries, and about 7 days for short-lived abuse-prevention keys. Expiration is a cleanup target, not a promise that deletion occurs at an exact second.
Account, listing, inquiry, callback, contact, and chat records follow separate operational and legal retention needs because they document a service a person requested. Consent records may be kept as needed to honor and demonstrate privacy choices. A withdrawal or deletion workflow can remove server-side optional visit data, but a recap already delivered to a protected staff mailbox is a separate copy governed by mailbox retention and must be addressed as part of a verified deletion request. Backups may take additional time to cycle out where law permits.
Security
We use HTTPS, managed authentication, access controls, server-owned notification and lifecycle fields, bounded data collection, and managed infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. We will provide legally required notices if a breach affects covered information.
Your rights and requests
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to confirm processing, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal data, and to withdraw consent. You may also ask whom covered consumer health data was shared with and appeal a refusal to act on a request.
- Change optional purposes using Privacy choices in the footer
- Update owner account information from the owner dashboard
- Request access or deletion by emailing contact@adulthomefinder.com
Tell us the email or phone number used, the approximate date, and the relevant home or request when applicable. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or deleting information. Exercising a privacy right will not affect access to the public directory.
Minors
Adult Home Finder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. If an update adds a new consumer-health-data category or purpose, we will disclose it and request consent before using it where required.
How to reach us
Send privacy questions, requests, or appeals to contact@adulthomefinder.com. You can also use our contact form. For a record-specific request, include enough information for us to locate the record without sending sensitive documents.
